[Ntop] Using fprobe

It seems fprobe does not work properly abd there are no packet arriving at ntop host with dst port 2056. now what can I do?
also I've got nprobe. do yOu recommend me using it instead? can you give me a nprobe tutorial with useful examples please?

Use netstat –an | grep 2056 and
ensure ntop is listening on 2056
Use tcpdump to ensure packets are arriving
at ntop host with destination port 2056.

fprobe. my router is in 192.168.1.1 and my ntop machine is 192.168.1.17. sO I
did like this:
fprobe -i wlan0 192.168.1.17:2056
but it doesn't show anything and all the graphs are gOne!!! what should I do?!
