[Ntop] packet loss and ring driver ?

Hello,

I remember reading a paper about how the current Linux libcap has issues 
  logging traffic on high volume networks. I believe it was if the 
bandwidth exceeded 100MB but I can not be sure.

There was talk and source available for a ring kernel module that could 
be built and resolved the issuel.

Does anybody know what the current status is of this module ? is it part 
of the 2.6 kernel ?
